One of my favourite BBC Comedies of the 80’s and 90’s was Birds of a Feather. If you follow my blog you will know I enjoy tracking down the locations used to make the episodes. Below are some of the key Birds of a Feather filming locations. If you know of any more, please comment below.
Dalentrace Filming Location
The exterior shots for Darrell and Tracy’s home (Dalentrace) were filmed on Camp Road, Gerrads Close in Buckinghamshire. The house has barely changed since filming, except for the addition of a attic window.
Interesting Face: The house used for external shots of Dorien Green’s house was not next door but actually 3 doors down.
Dorien Green’s House
Studio Lundquist Designer Kitchens
Throughout most of the original series Dorien was having an affair with Luke who worked at Studio Lundquist Designer Kitchens. Although refered to in the show as being in Chigwell, the external shots for the shop were filmed in Pinner.
At the end of Series 3, Sharon and Chris became the owners of a Cafe. Named in Series 4, Sharon’s Cafe. The external for the Cafe were filmed in Borehamwood, just around the corner from the Studios. The location is now a Domino’s as shown below.
